SP MLAs protest over Sambhal, law and order in UP Assembly on first day of session

Lucknow: Samajwadi Party MLAs on Monday protested outside and inside the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly on the first day of the session. 

According to Dynamite News correspondent, before the begining of the session, Samajwadi Party lawmakers staged the strong protest over issues such as the Sambhal violence, alleged electoral malpractices in by-election, unemployment and law and order situation.

The opposition also criticised the government on privatization of electricity and farmers' issues.  

Supplementary Budget
Notably, the supplementary budget likely to be presented in the house on December 17.

Yogi Adityanath
Before the commencement of the session, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed hope that positive discussions would be held in the House. 

"Our government is ready for discussions. Supplementary budget will also be presented in the House. Discussion on issues related to the public is important for us," he told reporters outside the House. 
 
Assembly Speaker Satish Mahana convened an all-party meeting on Sunday and urged everyone to ensure the smooth functinoning of the house.
