Tenure of J Ravindra Gaur:
J Ravindra Gaur was posted as IG Range in Gorakhpur for a long time. He 'failed' miserably in the eyes of the general public. He was always reluctant to answer calls from the general public. Ravindra Gaur, a 2005 batch IPS officer, was investigated by CBI in a fake encounter case. During his tenure in Gorakhpur, heinous incidents kept happening right under his nose and he always kept mum. The Vice-Chancellor of Gorakhpur University and the police were beaten publicly, a few steps away from his government bungalow. This incident caused a lot of embarrassment to the police but 'Saheb' was not bothered. A few days later, a barbaric massacre took place in Deoria sending shivers throughout the state. Now it will be interesting to see how does 'Saheb' perform in Agra as Police Commissioner.
