Banda: A criminal, carrying a reward of Rs 50,000 on his head, was gunned down in a gang war in adjoining Chitrakoot district, police said today.

Chotu Kol, an alleged sharpshooter, was killed in the forests of Patha area in Chitrakoot district on Sunday and his body was identified last night, Chitrakoot Superintendent of Police Manoj Kumar Jha said.

He was facing over two dozen cases for heinous crimes, including murder and abduction. (PTI)
