Mumbai: Responding to NCP patriarch Sharad Pawar's statement that there was no need for a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) probe into the Hindenburg report on the Adani Group, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut on Saturday said that the TMC and NCP have their own opinions on the Adani issue but the same will not affect Opposition unity.
Despite Pawar's divergent opinion in the matter, which he articulated during an interview with a television news channel on Friday, the NCP has backed the demand for a JPC probe into the claims made by the US short-seller against the Adani Group.

However, the Trinamool Congress, which is the ruling party in West Bengal, has not clarified its position on the issue.
In a press conference earlier on Saturday, the NCP chief reiterated his stand in the interview, saying that the Supreme Court-appointed committee will be more reliable and unbiased in its probe into the claims made in the report against the Indian conglomerate. (with Agency inputs)
