Seven killed, 10 injured in road mishap in UP's Sambhal district, CM mourns

Seven people were killed and 10 others injured after a bus rammed into a parked bus on the Moradabad- Agra Highway late Sunday night, police said.

Sambhal: Seven people were killed and 10 others injured after a bus rammed into a parked bus on the Moradabad- Agra Highway late Sunday night, police said.

Police here on Monday said that the accident occurred near Majhauli village when the bus was parked after a tyre burst. When the tyre was being changed, another bus rammed into it, killing seven passengers and injuring 10 others.

They were returning after attending a marriage ceremony from Chandausi to their village at Chapra in Bhajoi area of the district.

The deceased were identified as Veerpal(60), Rakesh (55), Bhure (40), Raghvendra (35), Chote Singh (35), Abhay (18) and Vineet (32).

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed grief over the loss of lives in the accident.

CM has also directed the district officials to provide all medical assistance to the injured.(UNI)
