New Delhi: Senior IFS officer Jitender Pal Singh has been appointed as India's Ambassador to strategically important Israel, reports Dynamite News correspondent. 

Jitender Pal Singh, who belongs to IFS 2002 batch, is expected to take up the assignment shorty.

Currently, he is Joint Secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs.
