Senior IAS officer R Alice Vaz appointed as Chief Electoral Officer of Delhi

Delhi: The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Thursday appointed senior IAS officer R Alice Vaz as the Chief Electoral Officer of Delhi.

Vaz, a 2005 batch IAS officer of the AGMUT cadre, is currently serving as secretary in Delhi's Directorate of Higher Education. She will replace P Krishnamurthy, who was appointed as Delhi the CEO in August 2023.
She has held various posts across across the country. She got her first posting in West Bengal. Then she stayed in Puducherry for a long time. In 2020, she was transferred to the national capital and has served as Labour Director under Delhi Government.
