The Akhil Bharatiya Hindu Mahasabha (ABHM) had filed the petition demanding that Sasikala should not be allowed to take charge until the graft cases she is involved in are resolved.
Late J. Jayalalithaa, Sasikala and her two relatives IIavarasi and Sudhagaran were convicted in connection with a 19-year-old DA case.

Sasikala has been ordered to serve a four-year-jail term and has also been barred from contesting the elections or holding office for ten years. (ANI)
