New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Monday adjourned the hearing of plea seeking reinvestigation into Mahatma Gandhi assassination case for four weeks as Amicus Curiae Amrender Sharan sought more time to file his reply.

The highest court has ordered the Amicus Curiae to examine the legal validity of the plea, and asked both the sides to clarify their locus standi in the matter.

Mahatma Gandhi's great grandson, Tushar Gandhi has opposed the plea, questioning, what is the need for the plea after so many decades.
