Mirzapur: A 22-year-old Samajwadi Party worker was brutally killed with sharp-edged weapons by a group of miscreants late Wednesday night in Mirzapur, sending shockwaves across the district on New Year’s day.
He was assaulted by the miscreants when he was going to his home.
According to Dynamite News correspondent, the incident occurred in Harna Gali, under the Katra Kotwali Police station area.

Identity of deceased
The deceased has been identified as Priyanshu Ojha.
Personal enmity
He was killed due to past enmity. This murder has created a stir in Mirzapur.
Suresh Chandra Ojha, father of the deceased, said that his son was attacked with an axe several times.

He has filed a written complaint against the accused at Katra police station.

The police have registered a case and arrested two accused. The search for the third accused was on.
