Mumbai: A 30-year-old man, who was arrested by Mumbai Police early Sunday morning in connection with the attack on Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan, has been sent to police custody by a Mumbai court till January 24, reports Dynamite News correspondent. 

The man was arrested from Thane by the police. He is suspected to be a Bangladeshi national, according to the Mumbai Police.

Holiday Court
The accused was produced before a holiday court in Bandra around 1:30 which sent him to 5 days police custody.

Press briefing by Police
Police, during a media briefing on Sunday, revealed that the arrested suspect is likely a Bangladeshi national, based on the belongings seized by the authorities.

He has been identified as Mohammad Sharif Islam Shehzad (30). 

Moreover, the attacker had changed the name to Vjay Das after entering India, according to Mumbai Police.
