New Delhi: Shiv Sena Rajya Sabha MP and Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Subordinate Legislation Milind Deora today tabled an important report in Parliament on air quality management in the National Capital Region (NCR).

The Report Focuses on Stubble Burning
The report focused on a specific rule related to stubble burning, a major contributor to the region's hazardous air pollution levels.

'Committee Has MPs Cutting Across All Political Parties'
Speaking on the occasion, Deora expressed satisfaction with the committee's work, saying the committee has MPs cutting across all political parties.

"As the Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Subordinate Legislation, I am very happy to state that today, I have tabled a report on the very critical issue of air quality management in the National Capital Region," he said. "This relates to a particular rule which the Committee went deep into—specifically, the rule of stubble burning," former Union Minister added.

"I am pleased to share that this committee includes MPs from all political parties. We examined the issue thoroughly and presented a report today, which I hope the government will examine and consider some of our constructive suggestions," he further said.

"Unfortunately, we currently face hazardous air quality, especially during winters. To address this, we have proposed suggestions that will empower the people of this region," he concluded.
