RIP KK (1968-2022): Cremated at Versova Hindu Cemetery in Mumbai, son Nakul performs last rites

Mumbai: Thousands of admires bid farewell to Bollywood iconic singer Krishnakumar Kunnath (KK) at the service and walked along the route from his house to Versova Hindu Cemetery here on Thursday. Earlier, his colleagues from the music and film fraternity began arriving at his Mumbai residence for the late singer’s ‘Antim Darshan’.
The last rites of KK were performed by his son Nakul. Wife Jyothy Krishna and daughter Taamara were also there.
KK passed away on May 31 at the age of 53 after his live performance at the Nazrul Mancha auditorium in Kolkata.

After his performance at Nazrul Mancha, Kolkata, he went to his hotel where he fell ill. The playback singer collapsed and was rushed to a private hospital in the city. He was "brought dead" to Kolkata's CMRI Hospital around 10 pm.
As per the post-mortem preliminary report, he died of a cardiac arrest.
KK's body was brought to Mumbai on Wednesday evening.

Celebrities inlcuding Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar, Vicky Kaushal, Ranveer Singh, singers Sonu Nigam and Shreya Ghoshal, filmmaker Srijit Mukerji and many others took to social media to pay their homage to the mega singer.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also mourned the death of KK. In a tweet, PM Modi said he is saddened by the untimely demise of the noted singer.
