Rescue operation at Kannauj Railway Station concludes, check all details

Kannauj: The rescue operation in Uttar Pradesh's Kannauj concluded on Sunday as 28 workers were pulled out safely after a 16-hour-long operation. 

According to Dynamite News correspondent, the incident occurred at the Uttar Pradesh Railway's Kannauj Station after an under-construction building collapsed, trapping around two dozen workers under the rubble.

'No loss of lives reported'
The officials said that the rescued workers have been admitted to a hospital for treatment. No casualties have been reported.

Three-member Committee
After the incident, the North Eastern Railway (NER) formed a three-member committee to probe the accident.  The committee will comprise Chief Engineer for Planning and Design, the Additional Divisional Railway Manager (Izzatnagar) and the Chief Security Commissioner of the Railway Protection Force.
