IFS Renu Singh appointed as Director, Delhi Zoo
Delhi Zoo gets new Director.
New Delhi: UP Cadre 1997 batch IFS officer Renu Singh will be the new Director of Delhi Zoo. Her appointment order has been issued on Thursday by Environment and Forest Ministry, Government of India. Currently she is posted as the Chief Conservator, Forest in Lucknow. Renu studied at Hindu College, Delhi University. Her husband Amitabh Yash is an IPS officer of 1996 batch UP Cadre.

The National Zoological Park (originally Delhi Zoo) is a 176-acre zoo near the India Gate in Delhi. A 16th century citadel, a sprawling green island and a motley collection of animals and birds, all in the middle of a burgeoning urban Delhi. The zoo is home to about 1350 animals representing almost 130 species of animals and birds from around the world.
