New Delhi: Shalimar Bagh MLA Rekha Gupta has been elected as the leader of the Delhi BJP legislature party.
Rekha Gupta would take oath as the Chief Minister of Delhi tomorrow at 12.35 pm. The swearing-in ceremony will be held at the Ramleela Maidan.
Besides, senio leader Pravesh Verma will take oath as Deputy CM and 3rd time MLA Vijendra Gupta will be the Speaker of Delhi State Assembly.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Chief Ministers from BJP-ruled states, Union Ministers, and other NDA leaders likely to attend the ceremony.

Rekha Gupta was born on 19 July 1974. She will serve as 9th Chief Minister of Delhi from 20 February 2025.
She would be fourth female CM of Delhi and 8th overall to hold this office. She is a former general secretary and president of Delhi University Students Union, a member of national executive of the party and general secretary of Delhi state unit of the party.

She became the President of Delhi University Students' Union (DUSU) in the year 1996–1997. She was elected to the Delhi Councillor elections from Uttari Pitampura (Ward 54) in 2007.
She was again elected in Delhi Councillor elections from North Pitampura (Ward 54) in 2012.
Gupta won the Shalimar Bagh seat in the 2025 assembly elections with a margin of 29,595 votes by defeating AAP's Bandana Kumari.
