Ratan Tata critical, admitted to ICU

Mumbai: Former Chairman of Tata Sons Ratan Tata is in critical condition and has been admitted to Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at a Mumbai hospital, Reuters reported on Wednesday. 

Earlier this week, Ratan Tata issued a statement assuring the public that his hospital stay was part of a routine medical checkup.

The 86-year-old, in a social media post on Monday, said that he remained in good spirits and that there was no cause for concern.

Became chairman in 1991
He became the chairman of Tata Son in 1991 and ran the group untill 2012.
