Rajnish Kumar appointed next SBI chairman.

Mumbai: Rajnish Kumar appointed next SBI chairman. He will take over Arundhati Bhattacharya, whose term will come to an end this week. Kumar is expected to get a three-year term as chairman and managing director. He is currently the managing director for the National Banking Group.

Kumar has a master’s degree in physics and listed travelling and playing badminton among  his interests.

In 2013, Bhattacharya became the bank’s first woman chairman. She was given a one-year extension in October 2016.
