Rajasthan: Minor Hindu girls raped, forced to convert in Beawar; complaint filed with NHRC
The case involving the forced conversion, rape, and exploitation of Beawar girls has now been brought before the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC).

New Delhi: People's anger is rising over alleged incidents of sexual exploitation, rape and forced religious conversion of minor Hindu girls in Beawar district of Rajasthan. Local people are protesting and demanding action against the accused.
The case involving the forced conversion, rape, and exploitation of Beawar girls has now been brought before the National Human Rights Commission. A complaint filed with the Commission alleges that a Muslim gang is responsible for the incident in Beawar and demands the death penalty for gang members who committed these illegal and heinous crimes.
Om Prakash Vyas files complaint
Om Prakash Vyas, a Supreme Court advocate and a member of the Indian Human Rights Initiative for Marginalized, an organization working in the field of human rights, has filed a complaint with the Human Rights Commission regarding the Beawar incident.

Victims Receive Death Threats
He said that a large number of Hindu minor girls were trapped and sexually exploited in Beawar. The girls were blackmailed with pornographic material. If they do not obey, the victims are beaten up and threatned to kill by the criminals.
It is alleged that the victim girls are forced to recite 'Kalma' and convert to Islam.

Police
Family members of the victims were forced to protest outside the police station against the case following which the local police arrested some of the accused. However, it is alleged that the police has not been able to destroy the network yet.
The complaint filed with the Human Rights Commission alleges that the perpetrators in Beawar violated multiple laws under the Indian Judicial Code. Specifically, the crimes committed include offenses under the POCSO Act, rape, sexual assault on a minor, blackmailing for sexual exploitation, criminal intimidation, criminal conspiracy, digital blackmailing under the Indian Evidence Act (IEA), and tampering with evidence.
Death Penality sought for crimes
The Human Rights Commission has been asked to take strict action and arrest all the members involved in entire network active in Beawar. The complainant demanded that accused be prosecuted under rape, trafficking and anti-conversion laws. Considering the severity of the crime, the accused should be awarded death penalty.
