New Delhi: Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Tuesday called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, officials in the Prime Minister’s office said.
This is Mr Gehlot’s first meeting with the Prime Minister after becoming the Chief Minister of Rajasthan.

The meeting of Mr Gehlot comes a day after Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath met the Prime Minister.

During his meeting with the PM on Monday, Mr Kamal Nath urged him for an early release of Rs 575.90 crore, the pending amount out of the Centre's share in a scheme, aimed at addressing gaps in MSP-based procurement of crops.

A statement by the Madhya Pradesh Information Centre said that during his meeting with the PM at Parliament House, Mr Kamal Nath also drew the PM’s attention to the Union government's decision to implement Prime Minister AASHA (Pradhan Mantri Annadata Aay Sanrakshan Abhiyan) to back the earlier decision for remunerative MSP for oilseeds.
