Rajasthan: 12 killed, 36 injured after bus rams into culvert in Sikar

Jaipur: At least twelve people were killed and thirty-six injured after a bus they were travelling in rammed into a culvert near Laxmangarh in Rajasthan's Sikar district on Tuesday, police said. 

According to Dynamite News correspondent, the accident occured at 2 pm. The-ill fated vehicle was coming from Salasar.


After getting the information, the police and administration team reached the spot and carried out rescue operation. All the injured were immediately admitted to a nearby hospitals of Laxmangarh and Sikar.

The collision was so severe that one side of the vehicle was left mangled.

CM expresses grief 

State Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma expressed grief over this mishap.

"The loss of life in the bus mishap in Sikar's Laxmangarh area is extremely sad and heartbreaking. My deepest condolences are with the bereaved families of the deceased. The concerned officials have been directed to ensure proper treatment of the injured. I pray to Lord Shri Ram to give place to the departed souls in his feet and grant speedy recovery to the injured," he said in a post on X.
