Prayagraj: Leader of Opposition (LoP) in Lok Sabha and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi has got a setback from Allahabad High Court.

Allahabad High Court has refused to give relief to Rahul Gandhi in the case of making alleged derogatory remarks against Savarkar, report Dynamite News correspondent.

Rahul Gandhi had filed a petition challenging the order of the lower court in which he was summoned and fined. The court rejected Rahul Gandhi's petition and said that he has the option of filing a revision petition before the Sessions Court, hence his current petition under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure cannot be heard.

Rahul Gandhi made derogatory remarks against Veer Savarkar from a public platform in Akola, Maharashtra to create animosity during the Bharat Jodo Padyatra on 17 November 2022.
