Punjab: Two women arrested with 14.50 kg of poppy husk

Fatehgarh Sahib: The Government Railway Police (GRP) today arrested two women and seized 14.5 kg of poppy husk from them at Sirhind near here.

Jarina and Satiya, residents of Ludhiana district's Jagraon village, have been arrested, the officer said.

The SHO said the women said that they were on their way to Jagraon from Hazoor Sahib.
They have been booked under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act. The accused have criminal records, he said. (PTI)
