New Delhi: Days after N Biren Singh resigned as Chief Minister of the state, the Centre on Thursday imposed the President's rule in Manipur, reports Dynamite News correspondent. 

The Government imposed the President rule almost after 2 years of ethnic violence. 

Biren Singh Resigns
Embattled N Biren Singh had tendered his resignation on Sunday a day before the start of the state Assembly's Budget session. The Congress had warned to bring in a no-confidence motion in the assembly against N Biren Singh for failing to control the ethnic violence.
