New Delhi: President Ram Nath Kovind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu  greeted the nation on New Year 2019. 

In a message Kovind said, “At the dawn of the New Year, I extend my warm greetings and best wishes to all fellow citizens in India and abroad, and to the global community.'

``Let this moment of renewal commit us to making 2019 a year of amity, prosperity and happiness,’’ he added.

Extending warm greetings, Modi said," Wishing everyone a joyous 2019, May everyone be happy and healthy. I pray that all your wishes are fulfilled in 2019.

Extending warm greetings, Naidu said, ``On the joyous occasion of beginning of Year 2019, let us collectively resolve to dedicate ourselves towards building a peaceful, prosperous, inclusive and sustainable world.’’ 

``May the Year 2019 bring peace, prosperity and happiness in our lives and make our country progress on all the cherished goals,” he said.
