PNB Work Culture Exposed: Once again Punjab National Bank in controversy; CBI arrests two officials for taking bribe

Bagpat: CBI has arrested a Branch Manager and a Field Officer, both working in Punjab National Bank, Khekra branch of Bagpat in Uttar Pradesh for demanding and accepting bribe from complainant.

A team of CBI's Anti-Corruption Wing Ghaziabad started raiding the branch of Punjab National Bank, Khekra at 3 am. During the raid, the bank Branch Manager Lalit Yadav was interrogated. At the same time, the team also raided Lalit Yadav's Hasanpur Mussoorie residence and gathered important evidences and documents.

According to sources, a farmer of Khekra town had complained to the CBI's Anti Corruption Wing, Ghaziabad that the Manager of the PNB Khekra branch had demanded a bribe of Rs 25 thousand in lieu of sanctioning a loan of Rs 5 lakh.

Later, the anti-corruption CBI team raided the bank branch and arrested the Branch Manager and the Field Officer.
