From Track to Tech: PNB's Half Marathon Empowers a Cyber-Safe India

New Delhi: Punjab National Bank (PNB) successfully organized the first PNB Half Marathon 2025 on Thursday at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. The event, called "Cyber Run – Empowering a Secure Digital India", brought together over13,800 fervorous runners to espouse fitness and cybersecurity awareness, reports Dynamite News correspondent.
The marathon was started by M Nagaraju, IAS, Secretary of the Department of Financial Services (DFS). He was joined by Ashok Chandra, MD & CEO of PNB, along with top officials from PNB MetLife Insurance and PNB Housing Finance.
The Secretary's presence at the Department of Financial Services (DFS) highlighted the government's strong support for initiatives that combine fitness with digital security awareness. His attendance also endorsed Punjab National Bank's (PNB) efforts in promoting cyber-safe banking practices.
Additionally, his participation symbolized the strong partnership between regulators and banks in advancing the vision of a "Secure Digital India."

PNB’s Marathon Delivers ‘Stay Fit, Stay Secure’ Message
Beyond the races, the marathon served as an important platform for digital safety education. Attendees could visit informative zones about safe banking practices, watch educational street plays (Nukkad Natak) about fraud prevention, and participate in quiz contests testing their knowledge of digital security.
