Kathmandu: Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba has assured the people that the change in government will not affect the second phase polls as outgoing Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal handed in his resignation on Wednesday.
The outgoing PrimeMinister held a television interview before his submitting his resignation before the President. According to the Himalayan Times, in his speech, the Dahal highlighted the developments and achievements made by his coalition government in areas of health, social, education, energy, reconstruction and economy among others.

Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba also issued a statement following Dahal's resignation, expressing his confidence on the cooperation between the NC and CPN and said that his party would remain committed to implement the pact reached with all the political parties.
The current Nepalese government was formed based on a political consensus between Nepali Congress and CPN (Maoist Centre) the parties had previously decided to 'share' the term amiably and divide the tenure to host PMs from both the parties. (ANI)
