PM Modi: Unfortunate that people link 'Adhyatma' with religion
"It is unfortunate that some people link 'Adhyatma' with religion. They are very different," said Prime Minister Modi while addressing a programme to mark centenary celebrations of the Yogoda Satsang Society.
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said some people link 'Adhyatma' with religion, which is unfortunate.
"It is unfortunate that some people link 'Adhyatma' with religion. They are very different," said Prime Minister Modi while addressing aprogramme to mark centenary celebrations of the Yogoda Satsang Society.
Hailing the founder of the Yogoda Satsanga Society, Prime Minister said Yogiji(Paramahansa Yogananda) left the shores of India to spread his message but he remained connected to India all the time.

He further said that the path shown by Yogananda was not about 'Mukti' but about 'Antaryatra'.
Stating that India's spirituality is its strength, the Prime Minister said that once an individual develops an interest in Yoga and starts diligently practicing it, it will always remain a part of his or her life.
Prime Minister Modi earlier in the day released commemorative postage stamp on100th anniversary of the Yogoda Satsang Society.
