PM Modi greets people on occasion of Navratri, Mera Chaoren Houba

PM Modi extended his greetings to the nation on the first day of Navratri and also greeted the people of Manipur on the occasion of Mera Chaoren Houba.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday extended his greetings to the nation on the first day of Navratri.

"My greetings to everyone as the auspicious Navratri commences," Prime Minister Modi tweeted.

The Prime Minister also shared a youtube link of a Stuti to the Goddess.

Navratri festival, celebrated across the country with a lot of vigour and passion, started today and will end on September 30. In the following days, the nine forms of Maa Durga will be worshipped and the tenth day will be celebrated as Dussehra.

The Prime Minister also greeted the people of Manipur on the occasion of Mera Chaoren Houba and wished this festival bring in the spirit of harmony in society.

Mera Chaoren Houba, which heralds the advent of Mera Tha (the seventh month of Meitei Lunar calendar), is a traditional festival to promote unity and strengthen the bond of brotherhood among all the communities in the State. (ANI)
