PM condoles loss of lives in Himachal bus accident

Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to Twitter to express grief over the bus accident in Himachal Pradesh's Shimla which killed 28 people and left nine injured.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today condoled the loss of lives in a bus accident in Himachal Pradesh.

A bus carrying 36 passengers plunged into a 500-feet deep gorge at Khaneri in Rampur on the Hindustan-Tibet National Highway in Shimla, leaving 28 people dead.

"My thoughts are with those who lost their loved ones in the tragic bus accident in Himachal Pradesh. May those injured recover quickly," the prime minister tweeted.

Personnel of the National Disaster Relief Force (NDRF) were at the spot to supervise relief and rescue operations. (PTI)
