Plane carrying 67 people crashes in Kazakhstan; 42 killed

Astana: At least 42 people were killed after a plane carrying around 67 people, including five crew members, crashed near the city of Aktau in Kazakhstan on Wednesday, officials said. 

According to the Kazakhstan's health Ministry, 25 people survived the crash.

Plumes of smoke can be seen on the crash site.

Fight J2-8243 
The Azerbaijan Airlines flight J2-8243 was en route from Baku to Grozny in Russia, but was rerouted due to fog, according to media reports. 

The ill-fated plane made an emergency landing approximately three kilometres near Aktau.

Survivors were rushed to a nearby hospital by the rescue team.

Video surface on internet

A video of the crash has surfaced on internet in which the plane can be seen coming down. The plane burst into flames after hitting the surface.
