Tirupati: Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan along with family visited Tirumala Sri Venkateswara Temple to offer prayers to Lord Venkateswara, completing his 11-day 'Prayaschita Deeksha'. 

His visit came in wake of allegations of adulteration in the ghee used in Tirupati's prasadam.

Won't wear slippers 
The actor-turned politician undertook an 11-day penance ritual, during which he climbed 3500 steps barefoot to the Tirumala Temple late Tuesday. Videos and photos of the Deputy CM panting heavily have gone viral on social media, garnering reactions from his fans and supporters. As per media reports, he won't wear slippers or shoes for three days, till October 3.

Fans concern over his health
In the video, which has gone viral now, he can be seen sweating profusely while climbing 3,500 steps, leaving his fans concerned about his health. Some social media users even claimed that the Deputy CM is struggling with back pain and asthma.

Supreme Court on Tirupati Laddu row
While hearing a batch of petitions, the Supreme Court said politics should be kept out of the issue of faith. Following the Apex Court's observation, the Andhra Pradesh government paused the SIT probe into the alleged adulteration of ghee used to make laddus. The next hearing is scheduled for Thursday.
