New Delhi: Chief Justice of India (CJI) DY Chandrachud on Thursday inaugurated the multi-facilitation centre on the campus of the Supreme Court here in the national capital and emphasized that it has been set up as a part of access to 'justice mission'.

The newly inaugurated multi-facilitation centre is located opposite UCO Bank, near C-IN Gate on the main campus of the apex court.

"This is a multi-facilitation centre which has been set up in the Supreme Court as part of the access to justice mission. The idea of this multi-facilitation centre is right at the entry point of the Supreme Court", CJI Chandrachud told reporters.

The CJI also expressed hope that the facility would enhance the quality of service rendered by the top court to the citizens.

"All litigants or lawyers coming to the court must have a single point where they can file cases, obtain information about cases... So I hope this facility will enhance the quality of service which the Supreme Court renders to all the citizens of the country", he stated.

"All I can say is that our present chief justice is constantly in a hurry because he wants to do something both for the legal fraternity as well as litigants in the country. So we marvel at the pace at which he is moving and thinking of the future. So this facilitation centre is just one example of the enormous work and commitment that our present chief justice has for the legal fraternity of this country..." Sibal told reporters.
