Paris Olympics 2024: 'Confident of exemplary performance by India Team', claims coach Anshul Garg

New Delhi: The entire world is eagerly eyeing for July 26 when the global Maha Kumbh of sports, Paris Olympics 2024 is going to start. This time Team India of 117 players is all ready to show its best performance and bag a large number of golds.

To mark this grand occasion of Paris Olympics, Subhash Raturi, Editor, Dynamite News talked to Table Tennis coach Anshul Garg in an Exclusive Interview for its distinctive show 'Dynamic Dynamite'. Here are some important excerpts.

Anshul Garg is also participating in Paris Olympics as the personal coach of Indian Women Table Tennis player Archana Girish Kamath.

Anshul said that the Indian Team is just ready to give their best performance this time and 'I am confident that the way Sports Infrastructure is being developed in India, in near future we will be in the top 5 countries in the Olympics medal tally.'

As a sports coach, Anshul has trained many national and international players so far. He himself is a class Table Tennis player.

During the interview Anshul disclosed, "I started playing in Under 11 from Kanpur 25 years ago. My uncle was a table tennis coach. I played the district semi-final match in my very first tournament. This is where I got the kick and then I decided to take up table tennis as a career."

Anshul said he was UP State Champion for three consecutive years in the men's category. Anshul then shifted to Delhi and was the No. 1 table tennis player in Delhi state as well.

Anshul said, "After reaching here, I felt that if I want to move forward, I will have to take some good coaching. But there was a shortage of money. Then I decided to leave table tennis as a player and become a coach of table tennis. Since then I am in the role of a coach. Today I have a total coaching experience of 18 years."

In response to another question, Anshul said that 15 to 20 players trained by him so far are performing well at the international level. Prominent among them are Lalin Puhiya, Sudhanshu Grover, Abhishek Yadav, Vivek Bhargava, Shubham Ojha, Adarsh ​​Om Chhetri, Payas Jain etc.

Paris Olympics to begin from 26 July

As a coach in the Paris Olympics, Anshul said, “I am very happy to get this responsibility. Every coach dreams of reaching the Olympics. After this, there is only one dream, that is to win a Gold Medal in the Olympics. I am thankful to God for this”.

Anshul further said if you want to reach the top anywhere, hard work is necessary. But along with hard work, consistency is also very important.
