Pakistani intruder shot dead along the International Border in Punjab

Chandigarh: The Border Security Force (BSF) on Wednesday morning shot dead a Pakistani intruder along the International Border in Punjab, foiling an infiltration bid, officials said. 

According to Dynamite News correspondent, the BSF personnel observed some suspicious movement across the border near Tashpatan border outpost in the Pathankot sector. He was challenged by the troops, but he paid no heed to it, forcing the BSF to open fire at him.

The identity of the slain intruder was not immediately known and efforts are being made to  ascertain his identity.

BSF to Lodge Strong Protest
After this incident, BSF has decided to lodge a strong protest with Pakistan Rangers.

BSF officials said that strict action will be taken to stop such infiltration attempts and this issue will be raised with Pakistan Rangers.
