Pakistan: 25 killed, dozens wounded in Hangu blast

At least 25 people were killed and dozens injured in a blast in Orakzai district in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Friday.

Hangu: At least 25 people were killed and dozens injured in a blast in Orakzai district in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Friday.

The blast took place outside a religious seminary, reported Geo TV quoting security sources.

The injured people were rushed to a nearby hospital and the entire area was cordoned off as security forces began the investigation into the incident.

This is the second such incident in Pakistan today. Earlier, at least two policemen were killed and one other got injured in an explosion and firing outside the Chinese Consulate in Karachi's Clifton Block 4.

According to Deputy Inspector General (South) Javed Alam Odho, the incident at the Clicton Block 4 took place at around 9.30 am.

"Three to four men attempted to enter the Chinese consulate and fired upon after being stopped by the security guards," Geo TV quoted sources as saying. (ANI)
