All time high demand for residential plots; Over 2 lakh applicants for 1,184 units

Noida: A housing plot scheme, near the upcoming Jewar Airport, launched by the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) last month has got a massive response as lakhs of people have registered for it.
Till the last day of registration that ended on Monday, about 2.22 lakh people have registered themselves for the scheme. Now the authority has started preparing for the draw and the applicant is eagerly waiting for the draw to open.

According to Dynamite News correspondent, when the Authority launched the scheme of 1184 plots on August 7, in just 5 hours 1100 people had registered for it.

The Authority said that out of these plots, 17.5 per cent (206 plots) are reserved for farmers whose land has been acquired, 5 per cent for industries and commercial institutions, 21% and 2% of plots will be reserved for SC/ST applicants respectively and the remaining for the general category.
The draw of the scheme will be opened on October 18.
