New Delhi: 'One Nation One Election' Bills introduced in Lok Sabha following a debate on Tuesday, reports Dynamite News correspondent.

One Nation One Election' Bills were intoduced in the Lower House with 269 voting in favour and 198 against. 

Opposition MPs Condemn Bills 
During the debate on the bills, the Opposition MPs criticed it, saying the bills were against the struture of federalism. However, the government denied the charge, saying it would help the goverment to reduce the election cost and increase good governance in the country.

Taking part in the debate, former Union Minister and Congress Chandigarh MP Manish Tewari said the bills must be withdrawn immediately. 

Meanwhile, TMC MP Kalyan Banerjee said, "It was aginst the basic structure of the Constitution."
