Odisha: Kamakhya Express derails near Nirgundi station in Cuttack, 11 coaches off-track

Bhubaneswar: At least eleven AC coaches of the Bengaluru-Kamakhya Superfast Express derailed near Nergundi Railway Station in Cuttack at 11.54 hours, according to Ashoka Kumar Mishra, CPRO East Coast Railways.

Mishra said that nobody has been injured in the accident and alternative arrangements are being made for the passengers to reach their destination.

The train was going to Kamakhya in Assam from Bengaluru when the accident occurred. 

Senior railway officials, including DRM Khurda Road and GM/ECoR, have reached the location.

The cause of the accident is not yet known.
