Union Minister Nitin Gadkari signed a MoU with Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Haryana & Delhi for Construction of Lakhwar Multipurpose Project on Yamuna near Dehradun.

New Delhi: Union Minister Nitin Gadkari signed a MoU with Chief Minister of  Uttarakhand, UP, HP, Rajasthan, Haryana & Delhi for Construction of Lakhwar Multipurpose Project on Yamuna near Dehradun.

All the chief minister of six states Trivendra Singh Rawat, Jai Ram Thakur, Manohar Lal Khattar, Arvind Kejriwal and Yogi Adityanath were present at the event.

Nitin Gadkari said, "For the next 20-25 years Delhi will not face a water problem after this project is completed. Also the cities in Rajasthan and Haryana, on bank of Yamuna will gain from this project."
