Nine Bangladeshi immigrants arrested in Maharashtra's Thane for illegal stay
As many as nine immigrants were arrested from Saravali village in Bhiwandi Tehsil of Maharashtra's Thane district for illegally staying in the state, informed the Thane crime branch on Saturday.
Thane (Maharashtra): As many as nine immigrants were arrested from Saravali village in Bhiwandi Tehsil of Maharashtra's Thane district for illegally staying in the state, informed the Thane crime branch on Saturday.
Acting on the secret information, the Thane police conducted a raid and nabbed all nine from Avani Textile company situated in Sarvali of Kalyan Bhiwandi Road, said the police.

The arrested Bangladeshis have been identified as Salim Amin Shaikh alias Asgar (30), Rasal Abul Hasan Shaikh (27), Mohd Shine Mohammad Akbarlai Shaikh (24), Mohd Masoom Shidulla Islam (21), Tarun Maniram (21), Suman Maniram (25), Ismail Abu Tahir Khan (19), Azam Yusuf Khan (19) and Mohammad Amir Abu Sufia Khan (26).
According to the police, the main accused, Asgar was residing in Bhiwandi's Nadi Naka area for the last 16 years and brought other Bangladeshi nationals to work in the area.
