'Dental Health Utsav-2024' begins at Maulana Azad Institute

New Delhi: In order to foster awareness about dental health among people, Maulana Azad Institute of Dental Sciences (MAIDS) is holding a four-day 'Dental Health Utsav-2024' from Wednesday. The Utsav is drawing droves of visitors including a large number of patients.
Several activities including free dental check-ups, dental health awareness programs, engaging social media campaigns, informative health talks, innovative exhibits, and enlightening lectures are being organised during the Utsav. This year the theme of the Ustav is “Prakriti Ke Rang, Muskan Ke Sang", reports Dynamite News correspondent.
The Dental Health Utsav was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Lt Gen Vineet Sharma, VSM, DGHS, IHQ of MoD (Army); Prof (Dr) Poonam Narang, Dean, Maulana Azad Medical College; Prof (Dr) Tulika Tripathi Director-Principal, Maulana Azad Institute of Dental Sciences; Prof (Dr) Ruchika Roongta Nawal, Organizing Secretary on Wednesday.

Speaking on the occasion, Lt Gen Sharma said that the Government is making all efforts to ensure access of adequate dental services to all citizens in Delhi free of cost. He expressed confidence in MAIDS' ability to emerge as the role model of “Brand for Dental Healthcare Standards” across the country.

During the inauguration, a compilation highlighting the MAIDS achievements over the past four decades, "40 Years of the Institution's Year Book," was also unveiled by the Chief Guest, Lt Gen Sharma.
Besides the Chief Guest also launched the 'Oral Healthcare Oral Health Toolkit' for ASHA workers, an initiative by Mobile Dental Clinic Project-National Health Mission, MAIDS.
Prof (Dr) Tulika Tripathi, Director-Principal of Maulana Azad Institute of Dental Sciences, expressed her gratitude to the faculty and staff members for their excellent dedication to work.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof (Dr) Poonam Narang, Dean, applauded Maulana Azad Institute of Dental Sciences for its commitment to deliver best dental care services.
Dr Ruchika Roongta Nawal, Professor and Head, Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, MAIDS also the Organizing Secretary of the Dental Health Utsav said that the Institute is on the cusp of further transforming the Dental Education and Research in the country.
