New Delhi: New Delhi: The National Buildings Construction Corporation (NBCC) has been endowed with the responsibility of the comprehensive development of Ravenshaw University in Cuttack, Odisha, reports Dynamite News correspondent. 

The Rs250Cr project aims to enhance infrastructure of the University main campus and Mahanadi campus. The project includes the construction and development of various key facilities with more than 45,000 sqm of built-up area. 

The two research scholar hostels (G+3) in about 8,000 sqm and  each accommodating 150 students will be constructed in the main campus of the University. Besides a comprehensive mess facility with all essential amenities will be built that will serve about 1000 students.

The project also includes the construction of staff quarters (G+7) with 14 units of 2BHK and 14 units of 3BHK apartments.

Keeping in view the needs of the visually impaired students, an exclusive road, ensuring their accessibility across the campus, will be built.

The upcoming Mahanadi campus of Ravenshaw University will also be uplifted. The two hostel buildings (G+3) with a combined capacity of 1,000 students (700 boys and 300 girls) covering an area of about 18,000 sqm will be built.

An Academic block (G+2) covering 8,500 sqm with all the necessary amenities and facilities will also be constructed. A Library block and seminar halls are also a part of development.

There is also a provision, in the development plan, of a cafeteria with a capacity for 1,000 people and a staff recreation hall.
