New Delhi: M Venkaiah Naidu scripted history by visiting all the 7 North Eastern States in his first tenure as Vice President of India.
Naidu has completed one year as Vice President and Chairman of Rajya Sabha.

Venkaiah has started his political career as a student leader to becoming a prominent Union Minister holding important portfolios before he was elevated to the second highest post in the country. He had visited 28 of the 29 States and three Union Territories (Andaman & Nicobar Island, Chandigarh and Puducherry) in his first year in office,which is a record for any Vice President.
The number of people reached out by Naidu during the last one year was more than 450 per day and articles published in news dailies were 16 in 11 languages (Hindi, English, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Assamese, Oriya, Gujarati, Bengali and Marathi ) on various topical themes. (UNI)
