Mumbai road rage: Man beaten to death before parents

Mumbai: A 28-year-old man was mercilessly beaten to death in front of his parents by a group of men in a road rage incident that occurred in Mumbai's Malad area. 

The deceased person has been identified as Akash Maeen, a Maharashtra Navnirman Sena worker.

On Saturday evening, near Pushpa Park, the auto driver hit the victim's vehicle while overtaking, leading to a heated argument between them.

Followng the argument, auto-rickshaw driver, along with his associates, allegedly assaulted Akash, leaving him serously injured.

A purpoted video of the incident, which has gone viral now, shows Akash is being attacked while his mother desperetly trying to protect him. In the footage, she is seen lying on top of her son, trying to shield him from the attackers, while his father pleading them to stop.

Case registered
The police has registered a case under varous sections of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS). In connection with the case, a total of nine persons have been arrested, with three of them being arrested on Monday, according to the police.
