Mumbai: Police have arrested a 24-year-old woman for allegedly issuing a death threat to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the police said on Sunday.
The woman, identified as Fatima Khan, resided in the Ulhasnagar area of neighbouring Thane district of Maharashtra with her family members. She has previously pursued a BSc in Information Technology but is mentally unstable, the police said.
The Mumbai Police, with assistance from the Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS), carried out the arrest.

Death threat to Yogi Adityanath
This comes after Mumbai traffic police’s WhatsApp number received a message from an unknown number on Saturday that if Yogi doesn't resign as the CM within 10 days, he would be killed like NCP leader Baba Siddique who was shot dead in Mumbai last month, the police said.
The police had registered the case at the Worli police station and started the investigation. They found that Khan had sent a threatening message to the WhatsApp number.

Further investigation into the matter is underway.
Police on high alert
According to the officials, the police were put on high alert soon after the threat message was received on Saturday as the UP CM is likely to visit Maharashtra in the coming days to campaign for the party for the November 20 Assembly Elections.
