Mumbai: Different teams of Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) comprising dozens of officials on Thursday afternoon conducted searches at Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s Bandra residence ‘Mannat’ as well as at actress Ananya Pandey's Khar residence.

Sources in the department confirmed it and said that multiple NCB teams carried out the searches in Andheri area of Mumbai, acting on a lead from one of the accused in the Mumbai cruise drugs bust case. Ananya, is the daughter of actor Chunky Pandey, and is a close friend of Shah Rukh's daughter Suhana.

Sources said fresh evidence have been collected. The move came on the day Shah Rukh met his son Aryan, who has been in custody since October 3. The superstar visited the Arthur Road Jail earlier just hours ahead of the 23-year-old's bail plea hearing at the Bombay High Court. Aryan Khan is among several others, who have been arrested in the case. On Wednesday, a Mumbai special court rejected his bail application and those of two others. Aryan was detained along with seven others during an NCB raid on the Cordelia cruise ship off the Mumbai coast on October 2.

The Bombay High Court on Thursday fixed the next hearing of Aryan's bail plea on October 26. Further details are awaited. (UNI)
