Mukesh Ambani vows to invest more than ₹50,000 crore in Assam

Mukesh Ambani also informed that Reliance India Limited (RIL) has invested over ₹12,000 crore in the state.

Guwahati: Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) Chairman Mukesh Ambani said the RIL would invest more than ₹50,000 crore in Assam.

He made the announcment during the two-day 'Advantage Assam 2.0 Investment and Infrastructure Summit' here. 

He also informed that Reliance India Limited (RIL) has invested over ₹12,000 crore in the state.

The areas where this amount will be pumped in include green and nuclear energy, the supply chain of food and non-food products, and expanding the footprint of Reliance's retail stores, he added.

Ambani also hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his vision for the northeast state.

"The PM has given new mantra for Assam. Assam has the potential to develop rapidly. South East Asia & East Asia will look at Assam as the land of opportunity," he said.

He added that the PM has promoted emotional connectivity between people of this region and the rest of the country.
