The duo filed their nominations for the March 6 poll in presence of Maharashtra Minister Ekanth Shinde.

BJP, which had won 23 seats in the 131-member House, had fielded Ashadevi Singh for the Mayor's post and Mukesh Mokashi for the position of Deputy Mayor.
